TooShy vs HoneyChat

TooShy is an AI companion platform where AI girlfriends live in WhatsApp and Telegram. She texts you first with voice notes, AI selfies, and proactive messages. This page compares TooShy with HoneyChat across messaging, media, memory, and pricing.

HoneyChat and TooShy both put an AI companion inside Telegram, and that is where the likeness stops. HoneyChat is a bot and a browser site with a large catalogue, anime and realistic characters, a character editor, and a six-rung price ladder from free to $99.99 a month. TooShy is a curated cast of dozens that also lives in WhatsApp, writes to you first, and sells two paid tiers. If you want to browse, tweak and start for almost nothing, HoneyChat is built for that; if you want one companion who arrives in your chat list on her own, we are. HoneyChat counts 100+ characters, says it has 50K+ active users, and Telegram's own page for the bot showed 77 231 monthly users on 20 October 2026.

HoneyChat pricing: HoneyChat: free with 20 messages, 3 images and 1 voice message a day and no video; Basic $4.99 a month; Premium $9.99 with unlimited messages; VIP $19.99; Elite $39.99; Ultimate $99.99. Paid with Telegram Stars or crypto (one of its pages also lists card), and its pages say annual billing saves 25%. TooShy: a free Telegram trial of 100 messages a week, Premium $9.99 a month and Ultra $24.99, with optional photo and video packs from $6.99 for subscribers. WhatsApp is paid from the first message.

HoneyChat strengths

  • A wide roster: its pages count 100+ characters, anime and realistic, where we run a curated cast of dozens
  • A character editor with 80+ appearance options and personality settings, which we don't have
  • A cheap, generous start: 20 free messages a day, no sign-up, and a first paid tier at $4.99 a month
  • Short video clips of 5 to 10 seconds from its Basic tier upward, and it calls itself the only Telegram AI bot that makes them
  • Pays with Telegram Stars or crypto, and a published tier ladder that tells you what each rung adds
  • A roleplay page with genres up to RPG campaigns, which is a use we don't build for

HoneyChat limitations

  • Telegram and a browser only; we found no WhatsApp version on the pages we read
  • Its adult-content labels disagree with each other: the plan table ties 18+ to paid tiers while the FAQ offers 'Instant 18+' from the first message, and the policy says it is not an unrestricted adult-content engine
  • Its own privacy answer says a bot chat isn't end-to-end encrypted
  • Purchases are non-refundable once access has started, per its payment rules
  • The operator is named only as 'HoneyChat' with a Proton Mail address, and the About page's 50K+ and 5M+ figures carry no date or window
  • Nothing we read says the companion decides when to write first, except one line on its Hindi page

Why switch to TooShy

What makes TooShy different from HoneyChat

  • She lives in Telegram and WhatsApp, in the same chat list as everyone you write to
  • Companions write first: good morning, a voice note, a photo in the middle of her day
  • A cast of dozens written and kept consistent by one team, rather than a catalogue of sizes and styles
  • Memory is the same three layers on every plan, so the free trial and Ultra remember alike
  • Two flat paid tiers, $9.99 and $24.99, both opening adult content, with no ladder to climb to reach it
  • Delete the chat and the conversation is gone

Where TooShy falls short

What HoneyChat does that we do not

  • TooShy has no character editor and no catalogue to browse. HoneyChat's pages count 100+ characters and offer 80+ appearance options; our cast of dozens is written in-house, so a look or personality we haven't written has nowhere to go.
  • HoneyChat starts cheaper and stays free longer: 20 messages a day at no cost and a first paid tier of $4.99, against our Telegram trial of 100 messages a week and a first paid tier of $9.99. WhatsApp is paid from the first message.
  • HoneyChat sells a long ladder, including a choice of AI model on its VIP tier. We have two tiers and name no model, and we publish no figure for how far our memory reaches.
  • HoneyChat is built for roleplay too, with genres up to RPG campaigns. We have no scenarios, no group chats and no way to hand a companion a story you wrote.
  • We publish no count of users. The only fresh number we can offer is 450,678 messages across WhatsApp and Telegram in the 30 days to 15 October 2026, which measures volume rather than people and is not comparable with HoneyChat's monthly users.

In-depth review

HoneyChat is the bigger Telegram shelf: more characters, an editor, a cheaper first step and a ladder up to $99.99. TooShy is the smaller one: a curated cast that also lives in WhatsApp and writes first, with two paid tiers and nothing to configure.

HoneyChat is a Telegram bot at @HoneyChatAIBot with a browser version at honeychat.bot. Its own pages describe anime and realistic companions that remember earlier conversations, send voice messages, generate photos and make short video clips. The About page counts 50K+ active users, 5M+ messages sent and 100+ characters; none of the three carries a date or a window. Telegram's page for the bot showed 77 231 monthly users on 20 October 2026, a count Telegram produces without saying who qualifies. The team publishes its own blog and says so, and the operator is named only as HoneyChat, with a Proton Mail address and the bot handle for contact.

The plan table is the part to read slowly. Free gives 20 messages a day, one character, three images and one voice message a day, and no video. Basic is $4.99 and adds 60 messages and 10 images a day and 2 videos a month. Premium, $9.99, takes the message cap off and lists 4 videos a month. VIP is $19.99 with a choice of AI model, Elite $39.99 with what it calls uncensored roleplay models, and Ultimate $99.99, which names two outside models. Adult content is tied to the tiers in the table: 'Romance & flirting' on free, '18+ content unlocked' from Basic. Yet the FAQ says that choosing 'Instant 18+' at signup opens explicit conversation from the first message, and the content policy says HoneyChat 'is not an unrestricted adult-content engine' and that erotic media may be restricted, blurred or delayed. Three pages of one company, three different pictures. Read the tier you intend to pay for rather than the tagline.

TooShy is a different kind of product. The conversation lives in Telegram or WhatsApp, beside your other chats. The cast is a curated set of dozens written in-house, and a companion writes to you first. Premium is $9.99 a month and Ultra $24.99, and both open adult content; Ultra adds more photos and videos. The Telegram trial is free at 100 messages a week and stops short of explicit content, and WhatsApp is paid from the first message. There is no editor, no scenario tool and no group chat, and that is the real trade: HoneyChat gives you range and control, and we give you a smaller shelf that comes to you.

Which to pick depends on what you want to do on day one. If you would like to browse a hundred-plus characters, build your own, or try a story with a setting, and you would like to do it for free first, HoneyChat is the better tool and costs less to start. Its refund rules are strict, though, so spend a little at a time. If you would rather have one companion who is already someone, in an app you already open, and who writes first, that is TooShy. Both sit alongside your life; neither replaces the people in it.

Frequently asked questions

Is HoneyChat free?
Partly. Its free tier gives 20 messages, 3 images and 1 voice message a day, with no video and one character, and needs no card or sign-up. Paid plans run from $4.99 to $99.99 a month. TooShy's free Telegram trial is 100 messages a week; Premium is $9.99 a month and Ultra $24.99.
How much does HoneyChat cost?
Six tiers: free, Basic $4.99, Premium $9.99, VIP $19.99, Elite $39.99 and Ultimate $99.99 a month, with annual billing said to save 25%. Payment is by Telegram Stars or crypto, and one page also lists card. TooShy has two paid tiers, Premium at $9.99 and Ultra at $24.99, and photo and video packs from $6.99 for subscribers.
Is HoneyChat on WhatsApp?
Not as far as its own pages show. HoneyChat is a Telegram bot with a browser version. TooShy works in Telegram and in WhatsApp; the free trial is on Telegram and WhatsApp is paid from the first message.
Does HoneyChat allow adult content?
It depends which of its pages you read. The plan table puts '18+ content unlocked' at Basic, the FAQ offers 'Instant 18+' from the first message, and the content policy says HoneyChat is not an unrestricted adult-content engine and may restrict erotic media. On TooShy the free Telegram trial stops short of explicit content, and Premium and Ultra both open it.
Can you make your own character on HoneyChat?
Yes. Its pages describe 80+ appearance options and personality settings such as archetype, backstory and speech style, and the number of characters you can keep depends on your plan. TooShy has no character creator; every companion is written in-house.
Does HoneyChat remember what you say?
It says so: its pages describe semantic long-term memory that keeps names, stories and earlier scenes across sessions. We haven't tested it. TooShy keeps memory in three layers, the same on every plan, with no published limit on how far back it reaches.
Is HoneyChat private?
Its pages say no account, email or phone number is needed, and that it collects an account ID, basic technical data and interaction history and doesn't sell them. They also say a bot chat isn't end-to-end encrypted, and the operator is named only as HoneyChat. On TooShy you can delete the chat whenever you want.
Can HoneyChat send video?
Yes, on paid tiers: clips of 5 to 10 seconds, from 2 a month on Basic to 32 on Ultimate, and it calls itself the only Telegram AI bot that makes them. TooShy sends video on Premium and Ultra, and has no video on the free trial.
Can I get a refund from HoneyChat?
Its payment rules say purchases are final once access has started, with exceptions such as duplicate charges or a technical fault at its end. Check the rules for the payment route you use before paying.
How does TooShy compare with HoneyChat?
They're two Telegram companions with different aims. HoneyChat offers a large roster, a character editor, roleplay genres and a cheap start. TooShy offers a smaller curated cast that writes first and also lives in WhatsApp. Pick HoneyChat to browse and build; pick TooShy for a companion who comes to you.
