DarLink AI Alternatives: Tokens and Refunds

Yes, there are several, and the usual reason to look is the money. DarLink's plan page prints three subscriptions, $12.99, $27.99 and $49.99 a month, and a separate page sells token packs from $9.99 to $599.99. Its Terms say “all purchases and subscription fees are final and non-refundable,” with a refund considered, “at our sole discretion,” only if you ask within 24 hours and used the service very little. Everything below comes from those pages.
That makes DarLink easy to compare on cost, because the amounts are printed, and harder on one point. The plan page lists a message allowance and a free coin allowance, the token page says tokens are for “interacting with AI characters,” and nothing we read says how the two meet. Six alternatives follow, each described only from what its company prints.
What DarLink is
DarLink's homepage title reads “DarLink AI: Free AI Girlfriend Generator,” and the pitch is a character builder: “Create your ideal AI character with our builder. Customize their appearance. Enter your fantasy world.” The feed beneath it carries cards marked “This character is rated NSFW,” and the three promises under “What You Can Do With Your AI Girlfriend” are intimate conversation, custom image generation and emotional connection with an AI that “remembers your conversations.” The Terms require users to be at least 18 and say the service is provided by FameLink SA.
It is a website with a Discord community. The pages we read show no store listing, and none of them mentions WhatsApp or Telegram as a way in. The plan page promises “Fully private and flexible. Cancel anytime,” and the Terms add that a subscription bought through Apple or Google must be cancelled there instead.
The Terms carry a “Last Updated: August, 2025” line, and the footer reads ©2025, so the legal text we read is more than a year old on the day we read it. That is not a flaw by itself. It is a reason to check the refund wording again before paying.
The three plans and the token packs
Essential is $12.99 a month, shown as $0.43 a day. It carries 100 free coins each month, 6,000 messages a month, six standard voices, “Basic memory” and NSFW. Spread evenly, 6,000 messages is about 200 a day. Advanced is $27.99, marked “Most Popular,” with 300 free coins, 9,000 messages a month, ten premium voices, “Enhanced memory” and the “Fastest Messaging Time.” Ultimate is $49.99 with 500 free coins, “Unlimited Messages,” “Living memory” and an “Elite Roleplay Engine.”
On all three, “Image generation (2 tokens)” and “Video generation (20 tokens)” are listed alike. A video costs ten images, whichever plan pays for it. The coins that arrive free each month appear to be the same unit by another name — the plan page shows the coin with the same icon file the token page calls “token-icon” — so 100 free coins would buy fifty images or five videos if that reading is right. The pages never say it outright.
Packs sit on a separate page: 100 tokens for $9.99, 350 for $34.99, 550 for $49.99, 1,150 for $99.99, 3,750 for $299.99 and 7,500 for $599.99. Those work out at about 10 cents a token at the bottom and 8 cents at the top, a gap that the “Save 20%,” “30%” and “50%” badges describe against a struck-through list price. Ultimate's allowance of 500 free coins is worth about $40 at the top-pack rate or $50 at the smallest one — a comparison we made, not one the site draws.
Timers sit on top of this. The plan page opens with “Offer ends in” and a clock, tags Advanced “-32%,” and the homepage carries “50% off Ultimate” with its own countdown. Both were running when we read them on 15 October 2026, so neither tells us what the price is on any other day.
Where its own pages disagree
Tokens come first. The token page says they are “used for generating images, videos, and interacting with AI characters.” The plan page already gives every subscriber a monthly message allowance, with an unlimited one at the top, and prices only images and video in tokens. So either chatting costs tokens beyond the allowance, or the sentence on the token page is looser than the plan page. The pages don't say.
Coins and tokens come second. The plan page counts free “coins,” the token page sells “tokens,” and both use one icon. They look like the same currency named twice.
The headline is the third. The homepage title says “Free AI Girlfriend Generator,” while the plan page opens at $12.99 a month and describes its allowance as “100 free coins each month” inside a paid plan. What a visitor without a plan gets is not stated on the pages we read.
Refunds are consistent but narrow. “Final and non-refundable” is the rule, a 24-hour discretionary exception exists “if you have made only minimal use,” and the Terms add: “We make no guarantee of granting a refund unless required by applicable law.” Subscriptions bought through Apple or Google follow those stores' refund rules instead. A separate “Refund Policy” link sits in the footer; we read only the Terms version.
Seven products, ordered by how plainly each one's own pages print the price of a session, with price readability as the tiebreak. DarLink itself sits outside the order as the thing being compared against. Every cell comes from a company's own page; the DarLink row was read on 15 October 2026.

What the alternatives say for themselves
CrushOn.AI prints the longest ladder, and its prices start well under DarLink's: Standard $5.99, Premium $14.99, Luxe $39.99, Elite $89.99, Imperial $199.99 a month, plus a Pro chat package at $24.99. The free tier is 100 message credits a month, with history deleted after seven days of inactivity. Three currencies run at once — message credits, earned Coins, and Diamonds that turn into a creator's income. Read on 30 September 2026.
OurDream states what the extras cost in a help article. Its plan is $19.99 a month, or $9.99 a month billed upfront as $119.88 a year, with 1,000 dreamcoins a month. Subscriber chat costs nothing; “Genius” models cost 1 dreamcoin a response, voice calls 50 coins a minute, video 100 coins per five seconds, and “Dreamcoins do not refresh monthly.” Read on 21 September 2026.
Candy.ai keeps its amount for checkout, with roughly 100 tokens a month disclosed there per its own terms, and one token pool for chat, voice, images and video. It runs in a browser and installs as a web app. DarLink's unit is the nearest match to Candy.ai's, with the difference that DarLink prints its pack prices and Candy.ai does not on the homepage. Read on 21 September 2026.
SpicyChat promises “Unlimited Messages... No paywalls. No timers.” and prints three tiers, $5.95, $19.95 and $29.95 a month since 8 September 2026, with memory quoted as 4K, 8K and up to 32K of context. A developer's reply on its App Store listing puts the live library at “over 1,000 characters” against the “1 Million+ NSFW Characters” on its marketing page. Read on 21 September 2026.
Nomi names no price on its own site — nomi.ai/pricing returns a 404 — while its App Store listing carries Launch Plan $9.99 a month or $59.99 a year and Standard $15.99 a month. Starting is “free (no credit card required),” memory is “short, medium, and long term,” and a downgrade “does not remove any Nomis.” Read on 21 September 2026.
Our own numbers
These are production aggregates, counts and shares with no conversation text. In the thirty days to 15 October 2026, 450,678 messages went through. In an earlier window, the thirty days ending 1 September 2026, of what was typed, 4.34% touched mature content, 7.37% asked for photos and 0.36% were about whether a companion remembered.
Our pricing has no token. Premium is $9.99 a month and Ultra is $24.99. There is no message cap to read against a plan, no allowance that changes with the tier, and no adult-content filter to buy off. Memory is the same on the free Telegram trial and on both paid tiers. A free account gets ten photos a week. WhatsApp has been paid from the first message since 4 August 2026, and the Telegram trial needs no card.
What DarLink does better
It prints everything it charges in one place. A buyer can see the per-day cost of each tier, the price of an image and a video in tokens, and six pack sizes with a headline discount, before making an account. Candy.ai, for one, keeps its amount for checkout.
It is a builder as well as a chat: you make the character and set its look, which our fixed cast doesn't allow. It offers image and video generation inside the product, in a unit with a published price, and ten premium voices to choose from on the upper tiers.
And its Terms state the refund rule plainly, including the 24-hour exception, so a buyer knows before paying what the answer is likely to be.
Where we fall short
Our companions are dozens, written by us. There is no builder, no editor, no video tool and nothing to import. Photos are counted in the plan, so we cannot sell more of them by the pack. And there is no screen showing what a companion has kept about you.
Scale is the other gap — we are a small service — and the free way in is Telegram or nothing, since WhatsApp costs from the first message.
Who each of these suits
- Pick CrushOn.AI if you want a low entry price and a printed ladder of five tiers, and can live with its guidelines being narrower than its page title.
- Pick OurDream if you want each extra priced in a help article before you spend.
- Pick SpicyChat if you want a large catalogue and memory sold as a published number.
- Pick us if you would rather have the conversation inside WhatsApp or Telegram at one monthly amount with no token, and a small in-house cast is an acceptable trade.
- Pick Nomi if one companion is enough and you want the content position in a single sentence.
- Pick Candy.ai if a browser is the whole requirement and the price at checkout is acceptable.
- Stay on DarLink if the character builder and the image and video tokens are the draw, and you are comfortable that refunds are at its discretion.
Where these facts came from
Everything quoted about DarLink was read on 15 October 2026 on its homepage, plan page, token page, generator page, Terms of Service and privacy policy. Its Terms were last updated in August 2025 by their own line. Its FAQ is a list of questions on the homepage whose answers were collapsed in the copy we could read, so nothing here is taken from them. Facts about the other five products come from each company's own pages, on the dates recorded against them in our notes on those products. Our figures are production aggregates for the thirty days to 15 October 2026 (message total; the shares from earlier windows are dated where they appear).
Open questions
Nobody here has paid for a DarLink month. Whether chat messages beyond the plan allowance draw on tokens is unknown, as is what a visitor without a plan can do. We do not know what happens at 6,000 messages on Essential, how the three memory levels differ in practice, or what the separate Refund Policy page says. Those answers come from someone who runs them, not from a review site.
